Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MathDOC X website, mobile application, learning management system (LMS), and in-person or online classes operated by MathDOC (“we”, “us”), founded and led by Rajika Wimalarathne. By enrolling, creating an account, or accessing any MathDOC X service, you agree to these Terms. Students under 18 may only agree with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who becomes jointly responsible under these Terms.

Services

MathDOC X provides educational services for the Sri Lankan G.C.E Advanced Level Combined Mathematics syllabus, including physical classes (Colombo), live online classes, recorded lecture archives, printed and digital study materials, mock examinations, and related support channels. We do not guarantee specific examination outcomes; results depend on many factors including the student's own effort and attendance.

Enrollment & placement

• Enrollment is confirmed only after the placement diagnostic and the first fee payment.
• Batches have fixed capacity; a submitted form is a request, not a confirmed seat.
• Mid-year entry is possible until the end of term one, subject to catch-up requirements.
• Accurate contact details are required; missed communications due to incorrect details are the student's responsibility.

Fees & payment

Fees are published per program and billed monthly or per term, payable by the 1st of each month unless otherwise agreed. Fees cover tuition, tutes, mocks and LMS access for the enrolled period. Unpaid fees beyond 14 days may result in suspension of LMS access and class attendance until settlement. Fee revisions, when made, apply only from the next billing cycle and are communicated at least 30 days in advance.

Refunds & withdrawal

A full refund is available if withdrawal is requested within the first two lectures of any term. After that point, fees are treated as consumed per lecture attended and are non-refundable, except where a class is cancelled by MathDOC X and no make-up session or recording is provided. Refund requests are made to the batch coordinator and processed within 14 working days to the original payment method.

Code of conduct

• Respectful behaviour is required in class, on doubt channels, and in any MathDOC X digital space.
• Recording, photographing or redistributing lectures without written permission is prohibited.
• Disruptive behaviour, harassment, or academic dishonesty in mocks may result in warnings, then removal without refund.
• Sharing your LMS account credentials with others is prohibited and grounds for termination.

Intellectual property

All materials published under the MathDOC and MathDOC X names — including tutes, booklets, slide decks, lecture recordings, mock papers, mark schemes authored by us, and this website's design and code — are the property of MathDOC / Rajika Wimalarathne and are licensed to enrolled students for personal study only. No part may be reproduced, resold, uploaded to third-party platforms, or distributed without written permission.

Accounts & authentication

Account creation for the MathDOC X app and LMS uses Firebase Authentication (email or Google sign-in). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You may request deletion of your account at any time through our account deletion page; deletion is permanent and removes access to all licensed materials tied to the account. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MathDOC X and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, examination outcomes, loss of study materials caused by your own device or account compromise, or service interruptions outside our reasonable control (including third-party outages such as hosting or payment providers). Our total aggregate liability in any dispute is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding the claim.

Changes, severability & governing law

We may update these Terms periodically; the current version is always published on this page with its revision date, and material changes are announced to enrolled students by email or WhatsApp at least 14 days before taking effect. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of its courts. Questions: legal@mathdocx.lk.
